L.A. Times Continues Pro-Hillary, Obama Bashing

In an editorial today, the Los Angeles Times picked up where they left off with their January 18th editorial, trying to polish up Senator Clinton while tarnishing Senator Obama:
In 2004, conservative commentator and former GOP presidential candidate Alan Keyes said Obama did not share the black experience because his heritage did not include slavery, the unifying experience for most African Americans. And last weekend, the Rev. Al Sharpton told 10,000 people gathered at Hampton University in Virginia that "just because you're our color doesn't make you our kind."
In any other context, the Times would treat Keyes and Sharpton for what they are: flame-throwers residing on the fringes of the American political scene.  But given a chance to peck away at Senator Obama, the Times tries to legitimize the twosome as evidence that Senator Obama cannot represent African-Americans as well as Senator Clinton.  Incredibly, given the subject of this editorial, the Times does not cite legitimate voices of the Civil Rights movement, including Rev. Jesse Jackson who has reacted positively to the Obama campaign.

"Just because you're our color doesn't make you our kind."
Imagine a white person saying that.  Our kind?  But instead of calling it out for the racist drivel that it is, the Times uses it as evidence that Senator Clinton may be the better candidate.

Senator Obama will be in Los Angeles on February 20.  The ObamaFest team will be in attendance and will also monitor how the Times slants their coverage of the visit.
